I’m Federico, a chef out of passion and out of what I would label with an ancient and almost religious term, “vocation”. When people ask me why I’ve cultivated and built my dream of being a chef, I think of an exact moment in my life. It’s not a specific day, but a ritual that’s often repeated. I’m in the kitchen at home, with my mother, or my grandmother. In the background there is the radio on, at low volume, a pot of water on the fire gives off steam, and on the table, there is dough ready to be rolled out. It will become tagliatelle, lasagna, sometimes ravioli.
There’s something magical about the kitchen. A true chef is a bit like an heir of alchemists. He elaborates simple or complex potions to unleash feelings of well-being and pleasure in people. At the same time a chef is a man of religion, in the sense that he is attentive to every ingredient, venerating them and aiming to exalt them in all good faith. Each dish is cooked with love and each preparation is almost a mantra, a “giving thanks” to life.
All this has always fascinated me ever since I was very little. Growing up, I undertook the necessary training courses, I learned the basic techniques and the most innovative ones, I experimented firsthand, I started looking for forgotten or completely new flavors, and I developed my own personal cooking idea, based on of an assumption: the search for a chef is aimed at maximum simplicity, the exaltation of ingredients.
This is the true philosopher’s stone that turns every plate into gold.

I became a private chef because cooking is an act of love. So it is, when I put spaghetti cooked just as my son likes it on our table. So it is, when I am behind the stove in other people’s homes, intent on creating a unique occasion for two or more people. It is when I cook for an event, accompanying a company in its moment of success or meeting.
Speaking of my son: it’s great to have him next to me, standing on a stool while I cook at home.
There are many other things that I love, such as cycling and the Ducati team, Sheldon Cooper and the fantastic series of The Big Bang Theory (Bazinga!), being around cats, days of full sun and living with those I love, from family to friends.
I try to enclose all this in my kitchen, to unleash small explosions on the palate, indelible emotions that conquer, sensations that bring back memories or that halt the present.
My dream is to open my own restaurant, where I can showcase my kitchen at its best in the spotlight. But I love everything about my private chef job. I like meeting people, listening to stories, preparing dishes that celebrate them. Each dish is a story.
I’m chef Federico Frosali, private chef, an incurable dreamer who believes that even cooking can change the world. Or at least touch individual lives.

I also therefore help make a reality any event my clients want, corporate or otherwise.
